What I LOVE about being QUEER is Vivek Shraya’s new short film, available on DVD now.
34 beautiful queers. One big question.
Filmed entirely in Shraya’s Toronto apartment last October, What I LOVE about being QUEER is a candid and raw look at queerness. In some scenes, the hum of Shraya’s refrigerator or soft giggling can be heard off in the distance. It all makes for an honest, yet familiar account of being queer… Shraya’s intimate, yet humourous approach is a welcome change of pace.

Ache in My Name is the second short film by Vivek Shraya.
Self-definition. Is a name how it’s pronounced or how you pronounce it?
Seeking Single White Male is Vivek Shraya’s first short film, a study of a brown body in (queer) white spaces.
Among my favourites… Self-hatred and shadism, taboo subjects in progressive Indian circles, are bluntly, and literally, turned face-front toward the viewer.
Simply put, I loved this one. Brilliant.
